ASNT Qatar section held a unique event on May 18, 2017 organized jointly with the Center for Advanced Materials (CAM), of Qatar University. Over 45 ASNT professionals attended this exceptional presentation and demonstration of advanced nondestructive testing (NDT) equipment by Dr. Andrey Bulavinov, from ACS-Solutions, GmbH, Germany. The event was opened and directed by Mr Maqbool Ahmed the Vice President of ASNT Qatar. CAM (Center of Advance Material).

Presentations were given about ASNT and about the advanced concrete inspection technologies ACS-Solutions has to offer for Qatar. The presentation on ASNT was done by the Regional Director Marwan Basrawi. His presentation explained the history of ASNT and its current presence globally and regionally, encouraging attendees to ask about ASNT and its uses within Qatar. 

ASNT Turk Section held a board meeting with RD Basrawi in Ankara on May 22, 2017, at the Middle East Technical University.
